I Made  This game for the UE Megajam but never got around to introducing the theme which i had planed to introduce via narrative.

The story unfolds in a future Earth plagued by a severe resource crisis. Over a thousand years before the story Governments worldwide implemented a system known as the "Nexus" which has kept the worlds collapse in a near absolute stasis whilst hoping for someone to both escape its primary control system and solve the resource crisis in order to prevent the Planets collapse,  a colossal network that taps into predictive algorithms to control every aspect of human life. People unknowingly play the roles of countless digital avatars, manipulated to ensure compliance with resource rationing and environmental preservation measures. Kept in an Illusory digital paradise Until one day the you experience an error in the system and are jolted back to reality from the artificial paradise overlapping reality.

Instantly after you broke out of the system your phone receives a call from a female voice calling itself atlas and asks you to trust it and jump out the window as the nexus system has flagged you as a criminal and  "they" are coming.

As you jump out the window and begin falling the voice over the phone tells you to breath as you hear it say the words activating materialization Array generating AGS as the suit that is materialized on you forms and automatically controls your fall.

As you land the suits own voice says Switching from landing mode to Anti Gravity assisted mobility mode, followed by atlas saying shes ,materialized a weapon nearby and we should try to reach the highway to head to the resistance base. Also I'm Borrowing the visual overlay system to help provide you with directions.
